250km south of Lima, Paracas is a little harbour with a lot of fishing boats, as well as a coastal resort next to two beautiful natural sites: a stunning Natural Reserve where the arid ladnscappes from the desert meet the Pacific Ocean, and out at sea the Ballestas Islands where countless bird species, seals and penguins find shelter.
