Day 1 : welcome to Shute Harbour, Queensland, next to Airlie Beach, the access to the Whitsunday Islands !
View over the Whitsunday Islands from the Conway National Park
There’s a path in the Conway National Park leading to a small beach entirely covered of dead corals. It’s called… Coral Beach (obviously) and it’s a reminder that the Great Barrier Reef is very close from the shore…
Day 2 in the Whitsunday Islands : scenic flight !
There’s 74 islands in the Whitsundays, but only 17 are inhabited.
Who wants to be a modern Robinson Crusoe on this paradisiac island ?
Whitehaven Beach : one of the places on earth where the sand has the highest purity. So beautiful seen from the plane…
I want to take a sunbath on this beach !
A little bit further than the islands, the limit between the deep ocean and the shallow water of the Great Barrier Reef is very clear from the sky.
And there it is : the Great Barrier Reef. Look at these colours…
The famous and lovely Heart Reef.
Day 3 : let’s go sailing on the Whitsundays !
Some whales swimming next to the boat !
Walking on Whitehaven Beach is really amazing : the sand is so soft and so white !
The sand of Whitehaven Beach consits of 98% pure silica, which gives it this white color.
The water is really cristal clear… It looks like a dream !
Perfect sunset from the boat.
Day 4 : snorkelling over the reef.
There’s so many fishes all aroud, these ones with the yellow tail and many others so colourful and so beautiful
Yep, it really was a great time at the Whitsunday Islands !
