Built on the shore of a fabulous bay, the largest city of Australia is also without a doubt the most beautiful of the country. From the iconic Opera House to the beaches of Bondi and Manly, from the Harbour Bridge to the Royal Botanic Gardens, here are my favourite pictures of Sydney!
My two-and-a-half weeks stay in Hawaii during fall 2017 was amazing from the beginning to the end and still remain an extraordinary memory for me, but the few days I spent on the island of Maui were probably the highlight of this whole trip. The beauty of island has a lot to do with it, as you'll see in this gallery!
There are a lot of fascinating places in the south of California: Anza Borrego State Park, Salvation Mountain, Slab City and Joshua Tree National Park. I started by visiting this region during my road trip around the American West in 2018, and here are some pictures from these first few days.
How to summarize Bangkok? I went there for the first time for a short stopover in 2018, and I had the feeling of having been parachuted into the heart of a fabulous mess, in the middle of a huge mess, in a joyful nonsense. It would take a lifetime to experience every aspect of this city, but I particularly enjoyed this brief visit and came back for a second stopover in 2023! From the rich glidings of the Grand Palace to the Reclining Buddha of Wat Pho, from the busy lanes of Chinatown to the temple of Wat Arun, here are my best pictures of this extraordinary city!
How to define Tokyo? This city has so many different and completely opposite faces! From the bright lights of Shinjuku and Shibuya to the quiet streets of Yanaka, from Ueno Park to the temple of Zozo-ji, I really loved the few days I spent in the capital of Japan!
The island of Itsukushima, more popularly known as Miyajima (which means “Shrine Island” in Japanese) is located off the coast of Hiroshima, in the south of Japan. The few hours I spent there when I travelled around the country in 2018 remain among the best moments of my whole trip! Here are my favourite pictures of that day.
Travelling to Japan in 2018 was an unforgettable experience, and visiting Kyoto was definitely the highlight of this trip. With more than 1600 temples, a stunning architecture and a very unique atmosphere in the air, I absolutely loved exploring this city, considered at the cultural and spiritual centre of the country.
The fate of Hiroshima changed for ever on the 6th of August 1945, when the first atomic bomb ever used during warfare was dropped over the city. Thousands of people were instantly killed and the city was completely destroyed; the exact total of victims will never be known, but it is estimated to be more than 70.000… It was very emotional for me to visit Hiroshima during my trip to Japan in 2018: it's in these kind of places that you realise that human barbarism has no boundaries.
Millions of square kilometers of desert flat as the hand. Red dust as far as the eye can see. A cloudless blue sky, a deadly sun. And right in the middle, a huge ocher monolith: Uluru. It’s not the only natural wonder of the region, Australia’s Red Centre: the rounded peaks of the Kata Tjuta are very close, and the might Kings Canyon a few hours’ drive further north. Not to mention the magnetic beauty of the outback, and this extraordinary night sky…
